General Description
These couplers connect two modular RJ50/10P10C 10-pin cables. They are wired straight through rather than crossed over. In other words, they are wired 1:1 (Pin 1 to Pin 1, Pin 2 to Pin 2, etc). The connector shields (shells) are also connected together. Each end of the adapter consists of a female connector and thus can be used to couple two male cables.
These couplers are designed to be mounted in a panel, thus providing through-panel connections for RJ50/10P10C cables. This board comes installed in a threaded flange, which provides protection for the circuit board as well as quick and simple installation onto a panel.
The compact design of this board takes up minimal area on the panel surface, thus potentially allowing many connectors to be mounted in a relatively small area.
These connectors are sometimes also called "RJ50 Bulkhead Couplers", "10P10C Bulkhead Connectors" or similar.

This product is designed to mount behind a panel face and extend through the panel. All that is required for installation is one opening. Simply drill or punch a hole through the panel, insert the threaded flange through it and secure it with the panel nut. An M28 panel nut is included with this product, and a washer can be purchased separately. A washer can improve aesthetics and also protect the panel from geting scratched by the nut. The 1-1/8" hole size used for this product is also commonly used for 3/4" 'trade size' electrical knockouts.
